Why doesn't Gtx 1060 6GB perform better than 750 Ti 2GB?

Hello, i just purchased Zotac GTX 1060 6 GB for my system. Before that i was using Asus GTX 750 Ti for 2 years.

I was very excited but it turned out to be a disappointment for me. I'm mostly using Video Editing and blendering softwares. While i was using GTX 750 Ti i was getting 3 FPS on a After Effects project, now i have 1060 but i'm getting 5 FPS.

Is there something wrong? Or it was a silly decision to upgrading GPU?

My system:
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 MOBO
Intel i7 4790K Processor
2x8GB HyperX Ram
128GB Sata SSD OS and Software installed
Smart750W PSU
Windows 10

Solution
There was a video fairly recently focused about exactly that

The resulsts were basically this, as long as you got a card in, there is not much difference.

Simply put, you will not see much difference even if you'd put 1200$ Titan Xp GPU in AE.
There are programs that will benefit from faster GPU.
you just have to read about GPU acceleration for programs you use and configure them properly if available.

Thank you for your answer. I'm using CUDA acceleration for both After Effects and Premiere Pro. I think i do it right, because in Premiere Pro export speed becomes faster when i enabled CUDA. But not much difference with 750Ti and 1060.
