Hey guys, I am looking to pick up some new memory and have decided on Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 2400mhz. Some people have been telling me to upgrade to the 3000mhz for the added price of about $80-$100 (Australia dollars).
I use my PC quite extensively for gaming and work/study and was wondering if the upgrade would be worth it and if so what changes would I be able to see?

If your using a Z270 board like you should with a K processor I would still get the 3000mhz with that...

Depends on the processor for Intel your not going to see any difference unless your using very memory intensive work programs.
For the new AM4 processors they show some performance increase with faster memory.

If your using a Z270 board like you should with a K processor I would still get the 3000mhz with that since it's so easy to just enable XMP profile (if you were just now buying the parts). But they would not be much difference in that and 2400 with tighter timings. You also already have 2400.

He already has the 2400 so not worth spending the money on new memory I agree.
