Hello y’all, I have a msi Z370 gaming pro ac mother board. An i7 7700k Intel processor along with a gigebyte 1080 ti gpu and some Corsair Vengence Ram, 2x8, after installing all of these goodies my debug light comes on, for the cpu. I have no video output. I was think it was the Bios, maybe I’d have to update them. But I have no idea how to check the bios or even how to attempt to update them. I also tried putting one Ram in at a time, in the second slot, that didn’t work either. Kind of running out of options. Anything helps. This is “Problem 1”

On another note, the CPU PWR 1 socket does not “work” I’ll plug in the 20 prong one and the computer will turn on, but if I put both in, likebte manual says, it boots for half a second and then turns off. We can refer to this as “Problem 2”

Update: the motherboard supports the Intel Z370, which is te 8th gen processors. So am I gonna have to return my i7-7700k? Or is there another way.

Solution
Problem 1 is, your CPU is not supported by motherboard. Z370 mobo only support 8th gen CPU, and yours is 7th gen. You need either Z270 motherboard, or i7-8700(k) CPU to make it work.
Problem 2, not sure I understand what you mean, but it is probably caused by problem 1 too.

Solution
8700K is both more costly and hard to get in some places. But it is also definitely better CPU. If you can find one, and afford it, you will not regret it. Otherwise, swapping motherboard to Z270 is viable option, and certainly cheaper.
