Before we start I want to clarify that I know nothing about networking, also I tried looking at other threads with the same issue and I didn't understand anything. I have plugged my computer into an ethernet port and it didn't work, but I think I found the "hub" for all the outlets.

Here are the pictures.

The top picture is the whole thing, the next is what I believe is the telephone hub, the next is for all the Coaxe (I think is how it's spelled?) cables, and the last is what I believe to be the ethernet hub. I read the side of the ethernet cables and I'm certain that they're Cat5e. Lastly, my ISP is Xfinity.

What do? Thanks in advance for anyone who answers.

You don't have ethernet outlets. Your house wiring is setup for phone. To use the cabling for ethernet, you would have to remove them from the terminal block they are connected to, terminate them with RJ45 connectors using the 568B color code and plug them into an ethernet switch. Then in each room you have to (may have to) verify that the wall jacks are RJ45 and terminated in 568B color code.
Ethernet can't be just "wired together", it requires a powered switch.
