i have been playing for a while on my PC. i have 2 accounts. 1 for me and 1 for my sister. after a while when i was playing and i finished. the next day i turned my pc on and it was very very laggy. games, videos even just normal tasks were very slow. and my specs are just below gaming pc. then once i unplugged my internet cable and it was extremely fast. no game lagged. so i was thinking. "is it only my account?" so i got on to my sisters and it was fine. internet and no lag at all. now i know what your gonna say. "play on ur sisters acc u faggoot" but my account is the main one. and i can do some things there that i cant do on my sisters account. so i need help. is my account infected with a virus? or is it laggy? i dont know. and i already checked up with windows defender and a few other anti viruses.and another side note: i downloaded a 22 gig game from the interwebs. and that wasn't a virus. i have my anti viruses on all the time. help would be appreciated.

A virus would affect both accounts. It depends a lot on the game I suspect. Many have local stores of information for each account. If there is something wrong with a file it can cause issues. It can also be one of the million settings many games have. A tiny change to some video setting can make massive difference.

If it is a option I would try to reset your account to all default options. If that does not work maybe you could delete the game and all the local data and reinstall it. That may not be a option if it is a single player game where all progress is stored locally. Network based games where all the data is stored on a central server you tend to be able wipe and reinstall with no issues.
