My friend is rich and he doesn't know much about computers. But he told me he was getting an i7 8700k and asked me "what type of CPU cooler should I get for preformance" and I told him I would look into it. And I was thinking about getting him a thermal take water 3.0 because he is getting this huge thermal take case that can fit this water cooler. So is the 360mm Thermal take water 3.0 good for the CPU because he said he wasn't worried about the price.
(By getting him I mean telling him what kind he should get.)

Not to dispute Night Owl at all, but the Thermaltake Flo 360 (the RGB one) if money is not a problem will do just as good a job, if not better than the EVGA. Here is a recent review showing it topping the charts: https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8301/thermaltake-floe-riing-360-tt-premium-cpu-cooler-review/index6.html ..plenty of other reviews out there.

Another good option is the new EKWB Phoenix which is just now being launched and will no doubt be excellent but expensive as it can can be expanded with ease...http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ekwb-reveals-phoenix-aio-series,35996.html

Some people love the BeQuiet Silent Loop - 360MM and others the Fractal Celsius with its low profile pump.. Of courss NZXT and Corsair also have good...

I personally use a cheap as chips option the Antec Mercury 360 AIO... Lots of choices out there..Bottom line the TT Big Water but even better looking the new TT Big Water Ring Flo will do more than a good job on the 8700K. I wish I had a no limit on spend....
