So I have checked all over the internet for a review on these 2 fairly new power supplies, putting them up against each other.
Those 2 power supplies being:
Corsair rm650x
Corsair CX650(grey label)
I'm aware the grey label is a lot better than the old models, and since it's new, there aren't many comparisons containing them, which is why I'm here. I hope you guys can help me choose, since the CX is about £56, and the rm650x is about £100. I can buy either one, but I'm skeptical that the difference in quality isn't so significant and worth the extra £44.
I'm not really bothered about modularity, however it would be nice since I got a cable mod voucher.
I'm also getting an overkill(ish) power supply for future proofing, since I've had enough of seeing my psu as a limitation.
Specs:
GPU: GALAX EXOC GTX 970
CPU: Ryzen 5 1400 (gonna overclock to 3.9ghz which is stable at 1.3v)
Mobo: MSI b350 tomahawk
Current PSU: XFX TS 430w (you can see why I need to upgrade)
8GB 2133mhz hyperX fury DDR4
250gb samsung 850 evo (sata)
1tb Seagate barracuda (games)
If these power supplies aren't really good at all, I would appreciate it very much if some pros could point out a fantastic 650w+ power supply for less than £100 in the U.K.
