I ordered an Asus Rog Strix 1080 ti and I'm going to install it in my Coolermaster Haf X full tower case

I checked with pcpartspicker before buying the card and it didn't show any conflicts, but now I'm thinking the fit will be pretty tight. Supposedly there is enough room in the case for the card (the card is 11.73 inches long), but I suspect the fan for cooling the hdd is going to be in the way and I'll have to remove it.

My question is: if I remove the hdd fan to make room, is that going to have a negative impact on my overall cooling in the case?

EDIT: here is a picture of the fan shroud:

The fan in the front of the case for cooling the HDD souldn't be in the way. I suspect you are talking about the fan on the side panel. If it's in the way and you have to remove it, you may be better off. While it seems like a good idea to have a fan blowing in on the side like that, it actually disrupts the flow of air going through the case. You generally want air to flow from front to back.

Fan for cooling the HDD? I presume you mean the front fan?

From seeing the case, it seems it has one side intake fan and one exhaust fan. If you are taking out one of the intake fans, then it would give you equal pressure, meaning 1 intake and 1 exhaust.

Are you taking out the side fan or the front fan? Do you have fans which you installed? From eyeballing it, it looks good to me.

I've had the case for so long I don't remember if the case came with it or not. I'm pretty sure it came with it. It mounts on directly behind the end of the gpu and blows forward onto the HDD

I'm trying to find a picture to add to my OP

Edit: OK, here is a pic. You can't see the fan, but the pic clearly shows the shroud, right under the bundle of wires
