Power supply for gtx 970 and 1060

Hi guys, right now I have a MSI GTX 970 ARMOR 4GB and I'm thinking about upgrading to a MSI 1060 GAMING X 6GB but I have a question. Can I use the same cable which supplies power to the 970 for the 1060?

Yes you can , but that's not a lot of performance gain with the switch.
