Ryzen 1600x or the i5 7500?

Gpu: 1050ti mini
I'm going to be doing gaming in 1080p 60hz monitor whilst having discord running.

I also need to get a new mobo as well (I don't plan to oc.)
My budget is £200-250

Thank you

I would go for the 1600x, and here's why:

The 1600x has better overall performance, and has a better (actually none, but in my opinion that is better) upgrade path. I have a i5 6500 and I am very disappointed that intel has generation blocked CPUs. You cannot use the new 8th gen intel CPUs with older boards like the Z170 and Z270 chipset, I think a bit of a dick move seeing that it is likely possible that they could make them compatible.

I just built a system with my girlfriend, and while I do like intel, I took her the 1600x route because I know it will be a viable CPU for at least the next four years.

Even though you don't plan to OC, I'd recommend the B350 chipset for the features, better power deliver, and ability to OC should...

i personally wouldn't never buy AMD CPU only if i don't have PC and im low with a money and i need the PC fast in that case ok MAYBE
i don't hate AMD but i do hate unstable system so i prefer INTEL CPU and they are the best and yes they are expensive
PS: don't hate me AMD lovers i don't hate AMD just i don't love unstable and i love thread-reaper 1000$ CPU haha

1600x, I would actually get a non x variant if you could afford a motherboard that could do some overclocking, if you got a 1600 with a motherboard that can overclock Than you can get a better preformance out of a cheaper processor
