Recently upgraded to this board and got an i7-7700k and 1080ti to pair with it.

So I set it all up and try to turn it on and the LEDs flashed for a second but then nothing happened. I read online that it needs a bios update to be compatible with my cpu. Just did the flashback using the flashback+ port. After it finished, it still only does the same thing?

Is the motherboard just dead or what?

i will keep you posted. i just went to bios to make sure it boots with cpu in it so i can send out the rebate with the upc strip off the box. When you cut the upc out for rebate you can nolonger RMA ( return it) so i was checking.
but i am going to put mine all together today or tommorrow.

i needed a new rig and i bit the bullet with store credit. ( ouch)
but i could not say no to the black friday sale.

my new rig called 'M7' :

msi m7
intel7700k
msi 1070 seahawk
corsair h100 cooler.
coarsair ddr4 3000 16gs ( only 139.00)
2 corsair 250g ssd
2 hatatchi 700rpm 2t HHD
coarsair c70 case
what else .. o
2 M2 modules

i was trying to play BF1 with amd fx 9370 and RX480....
worked but...

So the mobo is dead?

I just bought another one at fry's so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Just because it's not working for you right away does not mean the CPU is unsupported in the BIOS or your motherboard is dead. Your jumping to conclusions without considering any other possibility.

What ram are you using?
Are you using a video card?

If you can get into the UEFI bios have you Enabled XMP? If you can't get into the bios have you cleared the CMOS?
