Accidental RAID 0 setup between SSD/HDD - reverting and backing up

Hello,

I am new to building computers but just finished putting together my first build. I had no clue that setting up a RAID 0 between an SSD 500gb and HDD 1TB is a terrible idea until after I've already installed my operating system and all program and files. I'd like to undo my RAID 0 setup, which I know how to do but I want to backup my files so I don't have to reinstall everything, in case my SSD loses all it's stored data upon resetting the RAID 0. Currently it seems that all the data is stored on the HDD (which makes sense, considering how RAID works). Here is that disc information:
Disk 0
450 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
99 MB Healthy (EFI system partition)
465.21 GB NTFS Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition)
456.76 GB Unallocated

Can you help guide me through the process? I'd like to ensure I have a back-up created, then I'm assuming I'd have to revert the RAID setup and reinstall windows to my SSD and set it as primary boot option, then apply my backup to the SSD. Currently my plan is to backup my programs and files to an external HDD, reset the RAID, then boot from my windows disc and set my SSD as the primary boot partition, and restore my files to the SSD. Any issues with this method?

Any help is appreciated, and I'd be happy to supply any more information as needed.

how did you setup the raid 0? If you used the windows volume manager (dynamic volume) it's pretty simple, just reduce your disk usage so it's below the threshold of the SSD then break the dynamic volume group and set them up as individual volumes. If you used the on-board RAID, best start over.

Hey,

I set it up using Intel Rapid Storage Technology. My disk usage is 333 GB and my SSD is 500 GB so I'm currently below the threshold. I can't see a way to break the volume group into individual volumes. I have now created a back up in a separate 1TB external hd, so I supposed I'll format my drives, turn off RAID in the bios and reinstall windows to then restore from my backup?
