Just finished a new PC build and for some reason adding my second RAM stick to the motherboard causes it to consistently freeze after it Posts. Will usually either blackscreen after the motherboard logo or let me login and move for about 5 seconds before freezing. Restarting with the two sticks still in from this state usually gives me a Windows could not be loaded error. Computer operates fine on 1 stick, and both sticks have worked for this purpose.

The RAM is 2x8 Vengeance LPXs at 3000mhz that came as a pack, going into an ASUS Z370-A Prime motherboard. Chip is an 8700k. Can provide other part details if necessary.

Solution
First, make sure the CPU is mounted evenly.

If still have memory problems, remove CPU and check it and its socket for any damaged, bent etc pins and pads. There shouldn't be any dust, dirt nor debris of any kind on or amongst the pins and pads.

If memory problems persist, try swapping the modules around in different slots (if not already tried).

If memory problems continue, then raise DRAM Voltage by 0.05 V.
