New build with i5 4570 and maximus gene vi fails to get to bios. Vga_led flashes once then system reboots itself
Have one stick of compatible ddr3 4gb ram and a stock cooler, have replaced the cmos battery, booted with no hdd or graphics, and reset the cmos with the pin, no change. Just continuously starts up and powers off

Solution
the combination of re-installing the bios, repeating the ram in slot 2 and replacing the cooler has done it. Big thank...
Two things that might cause this problem, bent CPU socket pins or CPU cooler not installed properly. Take a closer look at the CPU cooler to see if it's not sitting on the CPU completely flat. Then if you can't find any other solution, take the CPU out of it's socket and look closely for any bent pins.

Yeah, first thing I did was researching the CPU and check the pins, none are bent. As of today it's achieved bios once, and was able to verify that ram and CPU are working, however it shut down directly afterwards and now continues its looping :/

use the usb flashback port on the back of the mb and use the bios renamer tool or rename the newest bios to let the usb bios flashback run. with no power on plug the usb stick in to the usb flashback port with the right bios and hit the bios flashback button if your mb has it and see if putting the newest bios on helps.

Is your 1 stick of ram located in slot "DIMM_A2"?
