Should i KEEP i7 2600 or BUY i5 8th gen

Processor ; i7 2600 (bought year;2012)
Motherboard ; asus P8UH67-MLX
Gpu ; Gtx 1050ti asus exp edition 4GB
Psu ; 500w corsair
Drive ; 1Tb sata
Ram ; 8gb transcend ddr3

i use my system 15hours a day entirely for games = Dota 2 , PUBG , CSGO
Reason for upgrading processor ; Couldn't find the motherboard for i7 2600 as my old motherboard is a crap after years !!

K means its can be overclocked, if you dont plan on doing it then save a few bucks and get a non K

Draw backs to upgrading an older socket is that it's not longer supported, the new 1151 (300) socket will give you future upgrades.

2. i would be great to know drawbacks of i7 2600 when compared to new gen i5 8th gen ...
