Heya,
After reading manuals and internet guides, i have put together all of my components.
now with everyting connected i turn on the power and a orange LED lights up on the MoBo.
but when i now press the power button on the case or even short the 2 power pins on the MoBo, nothing happens.
the power suply works (shorting the green and ground wire trick)
all my things are competible
even without the graphics card it wont work (intergrated graphics in cpu)
i have followed the PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about POST/boot/no video problems! step by step and no luck.

SPECS:
Fractal Design Focus G black case
Cooler Master GM 650M power supply
Asus Prime Z270-P MoBo
Intel Core i5 8400 CPU
EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB FTW+ GAMING ACX 3.0 graphics card
2x 4gb RAM

ive been trying for days and even friends of mine have no clue

Solution
You cant use a Coffee Lake CPU on a Kaby Lake mobo. Theyre not compatible with each other

8th gen CPU's/mobo's arent backward compatible with 7th gen CPU's or mobos

You'll have to buy a Coffee Lake mobo , or replace the CPU with a Kaby Lake CPU
