Hey guys,

I replaced my old CPU (i5-6400) to a i7-7700k, so after the replace I booted up my PC and only saw a blackscreen so I shut downed my computer and did some research, and my uefi(bios)wasn't updated so I replaced it again with my old CPU - updated the uefi - and replaced it again with the new one. After that it worked, but what I saw in other videos is that there should be a windows message after booting up your computer about your new CPU, which I didn't get. After checking around, I noticed that only 2 cores and 4threads were "activated" Is there a way to fix this without uninstalling windows?
P.S: sorry for my horrible english, I'm still learning :p

I've never heard of that, nor did I get any such message when I upgraded from an i3 6100 to a 6700K.

Where are you seeing this?
