Change drivers for GPU Nvidia same line?

Hello, the question arises. If I change for example from a GTX 1050 to a GTX 1060, should I install the specific drivers for the 1060? Or how are they from the same line is not necessary? Thank you

It's always best to do a clean install even in the same product generation, download the newest drivers from Nvidia and then select the clean install during the installation process, this will remove the previous drivers so there's no conflict.
