So i bought this cable http:// and i connected it to my Mobos cpu fan slot. then i connected cpu fan and my 4 pin corsair Ml120 case fan to the Header. My mobo won´t recognize corsair case fan, and the case fan seems to work together with my cpu fan. Every time cpu fan spins faster, also my case fan spins faster. Is there a way to separate the controls? My mobo is Asus Prime B350m-a

Solution
In that case, yes it is safe. But makes no sense at all. Connect cooler to CPU_FAN, ML120 to the case fan header and keep the other fans as they are. You don't need that splitter.

i only have 1 corsair ML120 and cpu fan connected to cpu fan header. because those have 4 pin connections. other 3 case fans have 3 pin connections and they get power from PSU. Edit: Actually it seems that the Akasa cable i bought gets power from PSU and only controls speed from mobo. in that case is it safe to use Cpu header?
