Hello, i recently upgraded into an i7 8700k with a gtx 1080ti along with new mobo and ram of course, however im kinda worried about my PSU. It's a Corsair TX850W 80+ Bronze PSU (here is a link to provide more detail about it
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/enthusiast-series-tx850-v2-80-plus-bronze-certified-850-watt-high-performance-power-supply
. I've been using it for a very long time without any obvious issues, however i'm not sure if i should keep using it with such expensive parts. What do you guys think? will i be okay with it? just the fact that its an 80+ bronze worries me a bit.

Whats the specific model number? How long is a "very long time"? What hardware were you running from it?
CMPSU-850TX
CMPSU-850TX-C
TX850 (75-001311 / CP-9020043)
CMPSU-850TXM
TX850M

Were all CWT or Chicony - and they should probably be replaced at this point IMO (assuming a you mean 5+ years of use)
While they weren't "bad" (some were better than others), I wouldn't be overly comfortable with those models 5+ years down the line

CMPSU-850TXV2 was SeaSonic made, on the S12II platform and, while only having a 5 year warranty; personally, I wouldn't have any problems using it.
Even if it were on it's way out, there's sufficient protection that the worst you'll experience is a bit of instability - it wouldn't hurt any of the other components if it failed.

TX850M is also the model number used on the 'new' TX platform from 2016-17, made by Great Wall. I highly doubt you're talking this one, as that wouldn't fall under anybodies definition of a "very long time".

This is the EXACT one as i linked above.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7195039
also its been around 5 years more or less yeah. I've used it for an i5 long ago (cant remember which) then an i7 3770k with 680 SLI, then a 980, and now my current build which is the 8700k and a gtx 1080 ti

its VERY important to me that nothing goes wrong with my current build and if you guys have any doubts about it, please tell me.

But after all these years and after i recently upgraded into a very expensive rig, are you certain that I wouldn't be at risk of burning out any of my components? is that PSU still strong enough to handle modern hardware like what i'm running now?

Yes - it's a great quality PSU.

Even IF (and it's a very unlikely "if) the PSU was on it's way out, there's sufficient protection there that there's no risk of "burning out" your other components.

Worst you would experience is some instability - and that would tell you it's time to replace.

There's no reason to expect any problems though, that PSU should go for years yet.
