On my laptop I have a sticker which specifies 19v 3.42a and 65w. The same information is on the adapter. There is no more accu in the laptop since a year or so and it is always plugged in. I am trying to buy a new accu but I can only find accu's for 14.8v and I am wondering if it can hurt to use one with a lower voltage. The laptop I have is an Asus X550C. Sorry if this question has been answered a million times, I can't find the correct example that represents what I am asking.

Edit: pointed out to me that accu might not be an English word, by accu I mean the bettery inside the laptop.

I'm not sure what an "accu" is? Sounds like you're looking at the battery?

Your power brick will always be higher than the battery - the stock battery for that laptop is 14.8V
