So for just over a week now I have been getting painfully slow frame rates in my games (Fallout 4, Battlefield 1, Destiny 2). I know my computer can run these games flawlessly because I have been since these games came out. I have:

Two GTX 660 TI's running in SLI
8GB of RAM
I7 4770k @ 3.5ghz processor

I've reinstalled the games, completely reinstalled GPU drivers, dusted the computer, monitored anything using irregular amounts of CPU or RAM in task manager - nothing that I can see. Closed every program I can imagine. GPU-Z tells me that my cards are running normally, temperatures are around 50 C when gaming and same with my CPU.

I'm really stumped guys. Why are all my games running so slowly when seemingly nothing has changed?

Hello,
I appreciate the response , I have tested both cards by themselves in Destiny 2 and they both seemed to be showing similar results. What should i look for in a failing card? I am using GPU-Z. I will test on a benchmark next and post the results.
As for the system restore it seems that I've troubleshooted too long and cant go back that far now.

If you are getting normal benchmarks in games, and the system is not crashing, the cards are OK. Windows updates do like to mess with video drivers, especially Windows 10 if that is what you are using. Take a look at your update list and see if anything was installed during the time the issue happened.

I've deleted any recent windows updates, no resolve .
Testing each card on 3D Mark shows that they are running almost identically so I think the cards are okay.
I have two hard drives that I have ran games from and that doesn't make a difference so I don't think it's my hard drives.
I'm out of ideas :/ I'm thinking format next?

So I clean installed a new version of windows 10 (upgrade from 7) and transferred all the files i wanted to keep from my second hard drive...

TURNS OUT I HAD TWO FLIPPIN' TROJAN'S :kaola:

While transferring my old files I kept getting notifications from windows defender, it came from the free video streaming program KODI. After the clean install and virus deletion I'm back to par. Apparently my free avast antivirus works about as well as its worth! Looking into purchasing a new antivirus.

Thanks all for your help
What a kick in the nuts this has been.
