CPU, Mobo, RAM, CPU cooler, and case are all brand new. GPU and hard drives are old. 100% fresh install of windows. Computer worked great for 2 days, after 24 hours of no use i came back to the computer powered down. The led lights on the mobo were still lit. Power button did nothing. I immediate checked all connections and reset my cmos and nothing. After inspecting all cables i found a tiny cut in the Power SW cable. After splicing this the computer turned on but no display was found and my keyboard is not lighting up. I can hear the HDD spin and all fans and leds are working. I have tried a 2nd power supply known to work. Not sure were to go from here and looking for any assistance.

Solution

Your right, the motherboard does have 4 tiny Q-LED's near the ram slots. Try watching them closely as your PC boots. The order should be green for BOOT, white for VGA, yellow for DRAM and red for CPU.

did not work, but this time i did notice a bright orange led located at the top left of the dd4 DIMM slots, from looking at the mother board manual its looking like that may be an indicator or bad memory or a memory issue. Look like i might had to try a get a replacement stick. Would a bad stick stop the computer from booting like this?
