I recently bought a Samsung 55" 4K Ultra HD LED TV. I have an older model Technics SA-AX530 AV control stero receiver. Changed the TV itself from the TV speakers to Audio out/optical. The tuner is working fine so I know the speakers work, just having a hard time getting the audio to my stereo speakers instead of using the TV speakers. I just bought a Musou (HDMI to HDMI +Audio) and viewed the instructions and its not working. I have pictures but couldn't figure out how to upload. Any guidance would be appreciated. Specific instructions would help. Did I buy the correct converter? Thank you so much for your knowledge.

Solution
You got the wrong type of converter unless you only have one source for the TV and it's external to it. That one won't work with the HDMI-ARC input. You could use one that is compatible with HDMI-ARC but usually you would connect an optical to analog converter to the TV optical audio output. That would connect to the stereo.
