Assuming Windows 10...?

To back up, attach an external (or internal) storage device; external hard drive etc - and copy all files/data over you cannot afford to lose.

Once you're done with that, download the Media Creation tool here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

Use a USB thumb drive to create the install media (just follow the prompts).
Once complete, shut down and attach the USB.
Use the boot override fuctionality (typically by tapping F8) and boot from the device marked {UEFI} NameOfUSBDrive
Follow the prompts etc, direct it to the drive you want to install to..... and let it complete.

Then, go to the manufacturer's website (MSI and nVidia) and download the latest drivers for your system

Did you clean install your OS? Or did you just unplug from the 860K and attach to the 7700K?

Generally, it's recommended to skip the drivers on the disks and head to the manufacturer's website (MSI and nVidia in this case) and download the latest drivers/BIOS revisions.

Yeah; you need to clean install your OS - you'll have all sorts of driver conflicts going on there and, while it's not a problem to the point of not allowing you to boot into the OS, it's still going to present bugs.

Back up your data and clean install your OS.
