My gaming laptop is a Medion ERAZER P7647. It has a i5-7200u processor, overclockable to 3.1ghz. The games i play like Dota 2 & H1Z1 Freeze for 2-20 seconds quite often. 8 GB's of RAM Should be enough according to MSI Afterburner. Was looking to update into a quadcore CPU, Is this possible?

I believe that processor is soldered to the Mobo, so no, not unless you buy a whole new mobo/cpu combo and install that.
