Is my PSU not strong enough?

So, I've recently been running into issues with my usb devices. I have quite a few things plugged in through USB (2 Oculus Rift Sensors, the headset, a gaming mouse, keyboard, and headset dongle, a webcam, an external hard drive, and sometimes an xbox one controller, as well as a Blue Yeti Microphone). Everything is hunky dory (at least, working), except for sometimes when the Blue Yeti is plugged in. At times, it will just shut down all of the USB ports. My keyboard will stop working, my mouse will stop working, my portable hard drive will close, my webcam stops responding, etc. Could this be because my power supply can't push out enough power, or is it a sign that my motherboard is bad? I've had the parts, except for my graphics card, only a year, so I hope they're not bad already.

Rig:
GTX 1080
i7-5820k
16GB DDR4 RAM
H80i watercooler
2 case fans
120gb SSD and 1 TB HDD
550W SeaSonic PSU (which, I have never had any issues with this until I added the Blue Yeti; every calculator I've looked at says that I should have at least a 500W PSU)

Any idea what might be the cause of the USB ports just shutting down? It's not usually during gaming or anything (thank god). More often than not, it's just when I'm sitting here puttering around on the internet.

For the sake of longevity I'd pick out a PSU that can deliver at least 650W's of power. You forgot to mention the make and model of your motherboard and if you're on any overclocks. To add, the issue could also be driver related. Make sure you're on the latest BIOS revision and you're on the latest chipset/USB drivers.

MoBo is an ASUS x99-A II, and I'm not doing any overclocking, though if I were, I would definitely upgrade the Power Supply.

Any easy ways to check for the latest BIOS revision?

Edit: Also, forgot to mention: I have the Blue Yeti, Webcam, and mouse all plugged into a powered USB hub.

I haven't gone into the BIOS to make sure that is the latest yet, but I have checked for updates on my USB ports, and they all seem good. For the first time last night, it's actually shut down the usb ports while I was recording gameplay (which, in turn, somehow corrupted the video file, so I have to re-record it later today). The only thing that I can think of is the motherboard is bad or the power supply isn't strong enough (which, if it were the power supply, why would it make a difference if it was a microphone or webcam plugged in? I added the webcam without an issue, but tried the microphone without the webcam with the same affect). Of course, if it were a bad motherboard, why would it care whether the microphone was plugged in or not? Could it just be the microphone is defective and overloading it or something?

I think that is a motherboard problem not power supply.
Most of the Seasonics are high quality and can deliver over their rated watts.
You have less than a 400 watt PC.
400 watts would put you using 72% of the power supply and should be fine.

But why is it only when using that microphone? I've added the webcam without an issue. If I leave the microphone unplugged, it doesn't happen.

If I have to replace my motherboard, should I just go ahead and get a newer one and upgrade to a 7700k?

Could it be the microphone itself as a whole (regardless of if it's defective or not)? This is the second blue yeti I've tried with this issue. I like the sound it has, so I'd like to keep it.

One of the ones I've tried was bought off of Amazon, one from Best Buy, so two different retailers too.
