PC won’t turn on (help asap)

I just built my first pc and I am pretty confident in my build. I watched many hours worth of tutorials on building, I put my PC together, tried testing it to see if it would turn on and only the light to the power button on the case lights up. Nothing else turns on.

I am not sure what is wrong, I placed all the connections in the right spots and properly, I even unplugged everything, and put them back in. Still nothing, I need help ASAP as the majority of my homework is on the computer (my laptop just broke so i built a pc).

Solution

Yes, don't worry they will replace it if it is at fault. Usually if there is a problem with CPU, GPU, Drives, RAM then your PC will always at least try to act on power up, like maybe fan spins, beep...

First of all change the position of your RAM. Just pull out the right most RAM stick and plug it into the right most slot, here is the sequence from LEFT to RIGHT:
Empty - RAM - Empty - RAM
your current incorrect sequence is:
Empty - RAM - RAM - Empty

If this too does not help then try unplugging all the fans from the motherboard except the CPU fan and then try booting.

Yes, I was right, you have totally misplaced the fron connectors, look at the pic below and correct them carefully

It is from the manual, Page 10.

Leave every switch, just plug the "POWER SW" only in the correct place:

There is no positive negative for switches, however there is for LEDs, but at this moment plug the POWER SW ONLY, leave every other thing, also I think either intentionally or unintentionally you have not plugged in any HDD/storage.

NOTE: Also note that this connector refers to JFP 1 (right most I think) so make sure you locate it on your motherboard because there is also a JFP 2.

I moved the RAM sticks, relocated those cables on the JFP1 in the correct way, plugged in my hard drive and disc drive (need to get another cable for SSD but that shouldn’t effect why it isn’t turning on). Now the light for the pc does not come on and still nothing turns on. Here are some more pictures after I moved stuff around

OK, what I understand is that you are saying none of the leds light up on the motherboard, like literally it is playing dead, no fan movements, no lights nothing?

Here is what can be troubleshooted:

1) It may be a camera angle but the fan connector that you have plugged in to the SYS_FAN 1 is not looking right because your motherboard has 4 pins while your fan seems to have 3 pin, but when you have plugged it in, it leaves the two right most pins bare, there should only be one pin bare:
Pin.png

2) Clear CMOS:
It will be located near the bottom left most ram slot on your motherboard namely JBAT1
Cmos.png

3) Remove all the front panel connectors (all of them) like POWER SW, LED etc, also remove all the fans EXCEPT the CPU fan, now you will be wondering how are you going to turn the PC on. Here is how: take a minus screw driver and touch it to the 6 and 8 pins, these are the pins where you have installed your POWER SW, this step is very important because it will tell us if there is any problem with your case switch:
As and example:

4) Finally if you see any of the lights on your motherboard light up and if still there is no display then use this to check which component might be at fault:

PLEASE DO ALL THE STEPS, DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING.

Ok, so I did exactly what you said and nothing turned on, fan did not run (also connected the sys_1 fan correctly). Does this mean that there is something wrong with my PC case? Also if so, what should I tell the manufacturer of the case. Thanks for all the help so far

If you shorted 6th and 8th pin correctly using a screw driver and still nothing happens, this means that it is not an issue with case. I think either your PSU is dead or your motherboard is dead. I suggest you to borrow a psu from someone/friend/any computer repair shop and use it to boot your pc, if it still not boots then definitely it will be the motherboard which is dead.

I tried a different power supply and it did nothing so I believe the motherboard is broken, I contacted the company in hopes of a replacement. Thanks.
