I got a new case, so i changed all my system (Intel core i7 4820k, Asus P9x79, G.Skill Ripjaws X, Msi GTX 970 and 2 ssds) from a Coolee Master HAF X to a NZXT S340, when i was done moving the hardware, i tried to turn on the pc and nothing, the only thing that turns on are the mobo leds. I checked everything was correctly connected and it was. Please help!

Solution

Try this: Take the motherboard out of the case and just plug in the essentials like one RAM stick, graphics card (no hdd/ssd needed). See if it boots, that is a sure way to isolate the issue to the components and not a short in the case or something of said nature.

To reset...

I have a P9X79, follow the red LEDs, its a self diagnosing tool, if one LED stays lit it means there's something wrong, or if it stays on for a lot longer than the other ones, take note of what that LED makes part of. Come back to me with said information if you can.

Only the green bottom led turns on, the one that says SB_PWR, all the other leds remain turned off. I already tested 2 PSU's and still only one led, the case power button works great, so Im thinking the CPU is dead, but how can I see that?

If there are no LEDs, you might have a dead motherboard, as when its a dead CPU, the CPU LED should stay lit.

The cpu led doesnt light up, while the power on the mobo does. But the cpu looks fine, and has been used for 3 years

Any other options you could try would be clearing the CMOS (Bios reset via hardware), only using one RAM stick and trying it on different RAM slots to see if that helps of anything, you could retry making sure all the connections are made correctly from the PSU to the motherboard and you could also try resitting the CPU.
