Hey there with the new games comming out I was wondering what to upgrade to get better performce this holiday season! I have a AMD FX-4130 (I know it sucks) But I was wondering if I should buy a EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC 4GB amazon links would be lower down. I right now have a Gygabyte AMD Radeon R9 380 but I run COD WWII 40 FPS usually with a good 60 looking at no action going on, with LOW settings at 1080p.
So my question is should I upgrade my CPU or GPU or both to get the best performance for the lowest price.
Thanks :)

Your current R9 380 is better than the GTX 1050 TI. So you would most likely see your performance drop. For an actual & significant GPU upgrade, you would need at least a GTX 1070/1070TI; too much higher, though, & you won't see any improvement because of your CPU holding you back.

Depending on your motherboard & your budget, you might want to consider replacing your CPU for now. An FX-8350/8370 would give you slightly faster per-core speeds & double your cores/threads, & run you maybe $160-170 USD (https://pcpartpicker.com/products/cpu/#s=23&sort=price&page=1).

The R9 380 4GB is a bit better than the 1050 ti. You’d be better off with a better CPU. How much ram do you have now? If you already have 16gb of ram I’d consider going for a used 4th gen i5 and motherboard. If you have less than 16gb of ram I’d just get a new i5 and motherboard and new DDR4 ram. But on a budget I’d definitely consider a used 4th gen Intel CPU and motherboard. Ram is just so expensive now not to mention a new motherboard. Especially since Z370 is the only new intel chipset available and isn’t really a budget friendly option.

Well the problem is that no matter what card you basically get as an "upgrade" will most likely be bottlenecked by that CPU.

And there is no point in upgrading the CPU to another one in the FX series. Which means you will need new CPU, Mobo and Ram.

So it kind of boils down to your budget. Get the video card you want because its the cheapest of all your upgrade options. Then later in the near future upgrade your CPU, Mobo and Ram and move the new video card to your new system.

Just make sure whatever GPU you pick is compatible with your current system. I'm specifically thinking PSU.

Just to confirm this GPU ( http://www.gigabyte.us/Graphics-Card/GV-R938G1-GAMING-4GD#ov ) Is better than the GTX 1050 TI
