Hey guys. I know there was so many posts just like this one but trust me i tried most of it and didn't help. So i have i7 4790k , mobo z97 extreme6 and nzxt kraken x62. And my temps are freaking high 45 at idle and 70-85 gaming/stress testing. I set the x62 on performance just so it doesn`t over heat. I tried reinstalling the cpu cooler ,reapplying the paste no difference.

I don't think this is a coincidence. I believe there's something terribly wrong with Windows 10 and 4790k. Try launching portable bootable Win7, Win8 or any other OS besides Win10 and do some stress testing.

My case was even more crazier - Stress testing returned 100c celsius in first few seconds. Under windows 8, it never went above 70c (stock cooler).

Are you using the proper mounting screws/are they secured all the way down?
What's your ambient temperature?
What case are you using?
Where is the radiator located?
How are your fans configured?
