My laptop couldn't get past bios, today I took it to computer man. He told me my OS was corrupted after running some tests in a different room.
I asked if my hard drive was broken initially. He said no, just a corrupted OS and that I have a HDD. So I'm confused because I've known that my laptop has 128 gb ssd in my c drive + 1tb hdd partitioned into my D and E drive. I didn't think about it at the time.
He told me they could fix it for 150 dollars, I didn't want to pay so I went home>google>install windows from usb through bios.
Initially, it wouldn't let me reinstall windows saying my drive was locked or not the right format? Google>alot of cmd commands in cmd prompt>changed my disk from a mbr into a gpt so i could reinstall windows, it worked. Also, at this point I saw that there were 2 drives, both were about 500 gb.
I install drivers through driverboost from iobit> it downloads my nvidia/intel hd gfx/everything> So im thinking it's all good, until I see MY COMPUTER, there's one big C drive thats 900 gb. Atop this, my laptop is more laggy than before and takes ages to boot up.

So the question is where did my SSD drive go? Because I know before in device manager, I would see that there were 2 names in the hard drive section.
After googling> Either I had an SSHD and my process of reinstalling windows merged everything into one C drive(partition), he swapped my sshd for a regular hdd, or that i have a separate ssd and he just unscrewed it. There's not a lot of elaboration on what my harddrives are even for my laptop model from the asus sites. Just the storage amount.
Do ssd partitions get lost like that? Or did the worker take my ssd. I've spent a couple hours googling how partitions work and if there's a way to recover that 128 gb of ssd for c drive, because I do like booting fast and ssd's are cool.
The laptop is: ASUS ROG G551JW, there 2 versions and mine had the 128 gb ssd + 1 tb hdd
