About a couple of hours ago, I ran a WIndows update. My PC had to restart a bunch of times and it updated as normal. As I sat on my couch and watched the update slowly restart my computer again, I saw it jsut stopped when it was almsot done restarting. It was just a black screen with the little loading dots going in a circle for about 30mins or more. I started to think it was stuck so I shut down and switched back on my PC using the power button on the case. After that, the update went on as usual. After the update, I noticed that when I tried to open War Thunder on Steam, it was extremly slow. It was at about 17fps at minimum so I went to check my graphics card. I tried to open Nvidia Control Panel and it gave me an error that said "Youre not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU" and it didnt let me in. Immediatly I thought that my graphics card wasnt working and when I went to display adapter properties in Settings, it said my GPU was a Microsoft Basic Display Driver instead of my graphics card. I think it might be an issue of my motherboard not recognising my GPU but I dont know.
Anyone got any ideas? Getting really frustrated since my PC is hardly a year old.

Thanks,
Gabriel

Oh, almsot forgot, my GPU is an Asus GTX 1050 ti and my motherboard is a Asus Z170A.
I also have Windows 10.

Solution
Well, Windows updates are often causing troubles, because they run into conflicts with GPU drivers. Try reinstalling GPU drivers.

How can I uninstall my NVIDIA drivers? I tried uninstalling my drivers for NVIDIA in Safe Mode with the Display Driver Unistaller (DDU) and when I ran it and restarted my PC from Safe Mode back to normal, I saw that my drivers where still there and my PC still is as weird as before.

Did just that and my I think my PC is back to normal. Now its not super laggy and it runs fine. Also in the settings, in display adapter properties, it now shows my 1050 ti. Thanks for the help!
