Ok, so I'm helping my friend install his new SSD that he just bought, he wants to put windows on it. He already has a HDD with windows, games, and some other goodies on it. I did some research on how to do it and i didn't feel comfortable downloading any software that clones stuff. I ended up doing what the internet told me to, unplug HDD download windows on SSD, restart and plug HDD back in. The issue is that the default UI for windows popped up and non of his games and stuff.. I ended up switching the SATA ports and changing boot priority but nothing worked... Also forgot to mention in the folders it still showed all his game files and such. Also I was unable to install anything on either of the drives for some reason. Ended up having a panic attack and just unplugged SSD and made HDD the prime drive and everything went back to normal.
Need help figuring out new SSD windows install properly
