Okay so im at my end here i am so annyoed with this sleekbook that my next call is to throw it out a window and never buy hp again.. SO
My mothers laptop is a hp sleekbook 15 with the a8 4555m
it was running windows 10 and to do anything it took ages. She insisted i reinstall windows for her.. so i did.
So i started with winodws 7. it went well but i could not activate it because of gpt partition.. okay.. fine
so im trying to instal windows 8.1.. cant instal 8.1 because of gpt partition.. ok clearly i have to use UEFI bios wor 8.1 thats fine. turns off legacy and turnes uefi back on an GUESS WHAT HP Does not allow you to boot off a usb in uefi SO im stick in a rock and a hard place.. cant activate windows 7 and cant instal 8 8.1 or 10 becuase i cant boot off usb in uefi.. cant upgrade through windows 7 becuase it says the disk is 64 bit when im using a 64 bit os.. Im not a computer noob this laptop is just as stupid as it gets.
So thats that.. please if anyone knows how to get around it let me know
