Hi I was wondering if someone would help me please. I have been an idiot a friend told me that going into the msconfig by holding the Windows key and R that Im not getting the maximum performance out of my computer so I went into msconfig boot options then advanced options and changed the proccessors to use 4 instead of 1 ever since I have done this it has ruined my computer my apps won't load and it is so slow. If anyone could help that would be great thank you

you ahould be able to download your version of win10 from microsoft.make a bootable usb from the file and reinstall windows.there should be an option for a repair install so you can keep your files.

go back into msconfig and change it back to one.

I have also tried to start in safe mode from a few methods and even tried to restore it to an earlier point and nothing has changed its still really slow and still takes around 2 hours to get onto the desktop from restart
