Hey guys,
I'm being stumped by an error code I am receiving on my ASROCK Fatal1ty z370.
I've tried the ASROCK support disc, I've tried their website BIOs update, I've tried their ASROCK APP and tried to update from there, I've tried their program "Restart to UEFI", and each and every way will flash an error code A2, and then A9 and stays on A9. The fans sound like they dull out for a second and back up to speed, making me think something is happening but nothing is.
I've disconnected ALL usbs and all SATAs, just leaving my Samsung 960 EVO M.2 installed for the OS and the BIOs update and I still receive this error. I can't even reach my boot menu. Can someone please help me figure out what is going on? This is a brand new build. ASROCK Fatal1ty Z370 K6, with an i7-8700k and a EVGA GTX1080Ti. Anything is up to date, I just can't get my BIOs updated from v1.00. PLEASE HELP.

No, not at all. I've cleared the CMOS, restarted it, got to the CMOS start, I presss F2 to get to factory CMOS and it sits on a black screen and gives me A9 on my dr. debug. On start up, I try to access BIOs or boot menu and it goes black screen and A9. When I try updating the BIOs with Asrocks windows updater, it restarts, black screens and A9. But if I don't touch anything and let it boot, it goes right to windows for signing in. Im typing to you on it right now. It's only when I try to access BIOs or update it. I mean, it HAS to be the board, right? And I can't sound/beep diagnose it, because no speaker came in the box for the board. This is insanely frustrating.

The only things I have plugged in, is a K70 keyboard with x2 USBs and a Logitech 502 gaming mouse. even if I unplug them on a BIOs update restart, still black screen and A9.

If still A9, with only CPU, CPU cooler and RAM, since under warranty, I'd RMA both board and CPU.
