Keyboard works in bios but stops working after loading windows 7

I just upgraded my computer yesterday and spent a couple hours building. After pushing the power button and having it turn on I was pretty happy but now I seem to be having some trouble.

Asus z270-a motherboard
intel i7 7800k cpu
razer blackwidow keyboard
Windows 7 os

When I turn the computer on the keyboard works fine in bios but as soon as I try to load windows it stops working. I read that I might need to update the chipset to fix the problem but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do that with no keyboard. Also, I can't get to my desktop screen because I used a password on my user and need to type to log in. Looking for some help here : /

I'm at work now but my to do list is the following
Put windows 7 on a disk and try to boot from that
Try to use the disk to repair windows 7
I heard getting a ps/2 keyboard might help but I'd need to get one
And if all else fails, format my drive and buy windows 10 Q.Q

If you have some ideas on how to fix this on the OS interface than try the on-screen keyboard. The option should be available on the login screen.

How do you know its the keyboard? It could be the port, switch the keyboard and mouse around and see if instead the mouse stops working. If the mouse stops working you know its the faulty port, but if the mouse continues to work and the keyboard doesn't then we know its an issue with the keyboard and the operating system

I should've been more specific, NO usb works. So that means no mouse and keyboard. So ease of access is out of the question.

You should try a PS/2 port, these are at most times always compatible with a computer system.

After this try navigating through the BIOS, there should be some settings that allows the enabling and disabling of USB slots.

I will try this but the thing is my keyboard works absolutely fine in BIOS! I checked to see if legacy usb was enabled and it was (Not sure what that is but someone said to check somewhere) and it seems like ports are all enabled.

Did you add components and use an old installation of Win 7 on a drive from previous system? That might be the cause of the problem if that's indeed what you did.

It' recommended that you do a clean installation of Windows on system after installing new hardware.

You might not be able to use your old Windows license though. Depends on the situation. In some cases you'd be able to disable license on older system and use it again on new one.

That's exactly what I did. So are you saying I am screwed and am going to need to format the drive somehow. Or do you think if I can get a ps2 keyboard and just install the new drives that would be fine? As far as I've read up you are limited to 3 computer per key and I think I still have one left.

If I have to format the drive that is going to be a big problem since I only have a laptop that could possibly have a sata port to do it. (My parents bought edgy towerless computers and so it's hard to get into them)

Edit: I have a new ssd that I bought for this system, is it possible that I could just put windows 10 onto the ssd and boot from there if windows 7 is still on my hard drive.
