So I just rigged up a PC build using my old parts and now its got a problem.
The parts are on shown at this link. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ycYVkT
The problem is the cable connection from the DVI port on the PC to the monitor. I did not have a DVI to VGA cable, so I had to use an adapter. It's now shaky, and with that shaking the screen flickers between a black screen and the normal screen without the connection. What I mean by shaking is that I can move the cable connection connected to the port up and down. I've tried securing the GPU by screwing the nail to hold it in place, but it still keeps shaking. However, if I push the cable hard into the port it turns on the actual connected screen(Startup), but If I slightly touch it, it goes back to a black screen. An example would like charging an iPhone, you have to get the sweet spot or it doesn't charge.
I think the GPU is working fine since the screen can turn on and the fans are running fine. I believe its the connection that's screwing it, but I don't know how to fix it. I don't get what exactly is the problem since it's not a solid connection between the VGA cable to Adapter to DVI port.
One thing to note:
When I first turned it on to test it. It was working fine, cable connection was solid, no flicking, but with a blue screen.
Any solutions to this would be helpful.
Thank you.
