Hey Lads, just recently I sold my 980ti and brought a 1080 (for $70 more ;D) so currently thinking its about time I upgraded my cpu and mobo. At the moment I’m still using a i7 2600 but from what I’ve seen with performance statistics it would be worth a cpu upgrade only problem is I have no idea what cpu +
Mobo combo will look good but not be overly expensive?

well, I'll give you a couple of options.

First comes the Ryzen 1600 build, which is somewhat midrange, 6 physical cores, pretty solid CPU.

What are your current full system's specs? Please list them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

You would need to undergo a complete platform change. We're currently sitting on the 8th Gen of Core I processors from Intel while we're into the AM4 socket from AMD. How much are you looking to invest in your pseudo upgrade?
