Powerline Adapter shows fast speeds but when connected to computer, it is not nearly as fast and I think the NIC has a problem

Hi! I just got a Zyxel 2000 powerline adapter and set it up. All likes always show green and using the utility it appears as if the adapter seds out from the router a 180 Mbps signal and reiceves at the powerline attached to my computer about 90 Mbps which is fine. However the Ethernet plugged into my computer from the adapter which is Cat7 gets a max download of around 20 Mbps and 40 Mbps upload. I believe I have 200/200 Verizon Fiber. Is it the powerline or the NIC? I have the latest drivers I believe. Thanks

Solution
The best way to be sure would be to temporarily move the computer near the router and plug directly in bypassing the powerline.

You should get better speeds than that from your powerline units but the performance is greatly impacted by the wiring in your house. Maybe a different outlet in the same room would help. Unfortunately there is not much you can configure on powerline. They pretty much either work or they do not.
