Hy there,
I'm going to build a new pc, mainly for lots of editing, 3d modeling and rendering.
I'm going to get a ryzen 7 1700 with 16gb of ram, a samsung 960 evo ssd all in the phanteks enthoo shift case. I was wondering whether i should get a high end gpu (ryzen vega 64/gtx 1080) wiht a cheap monitor or something like gtx 1060/maybe 1070 and a good 21:9 29" curved from lg
(which is still not a great monitor but better than a cheap 100$ one).
I will maily be using the adobe suite (photoshop, lightroom, after effects, premiere), 3ds max, some cad and vray, along with some gaming.
Thanks.

well, for that price and you usage you're going to want an IPS monitor for color accuracy, but for 200.. Really only going to find one at 1080p60Hz and the 1070, let alone 1070ti, would be overkill. As for recommendations, i couldn't tell ya. I only had rough experiences with monitors in the price range. Though a quick search shows this one : https://tinyurl.com/yd4sx5ot has good reviews

If it's within budget, go with a 1070. It'll do great for gaming and can handle any GPU accelerated work you throw at it. If you get a 1080p monitor, then you can save some cash and go with a 1060. Depends on how much you like eye candy for games.

I could probably also go for a 1070ti and overclock...price difference is not that big where i live, and get a 200$ monitor. Do you have any suggestions about what monitor in that price range?
