Hello,

I want to upgrade my PC to get some better framerates in new games. I have i5-4590 CPU (3.3GHz) and 16 GB RAM DDR3 running at 800MHz DRAM Frequency. If I am not mistaken that means it's 2400Hz? Anyway, that's not the question. I want to upgrade my R9 380 4GB, I am looking at RX 580 8GB right now. Will my processor/memory be enough? Or will it bottleneck? BTW I have a freesync monitor, that's why AMD card.

Oh and one more question: Would 500W PSU be enough? I only have one harddrive 1TB and that's it, no SSD, no blue-ray/dvd...

Solution
It may bottleneck in some cpu intensive games like ac origin, watch dogs 2, battlefield 1. But it will be marginal and not that tangible as long as you are running the game in high to mid settings. It will be better for your freesync monitor as well. But you have not provided your target resolution of gaming.
Seems psu will not be issue. What make?

My PSU died recently so I was going to buy a new one. But somehow, it started working again. After few weeks I just tried the paperclip test again and it works, I don't get it... :D So my PSU is 550W gold and target resolution is 1080p. I ordered the 580, thanks for the advices.
