So since 3 days i started getting random packet losses after every 2-3 minutes (screen shot-https://imgur.com/a/CwQ41)
I have a TP-Link Router WR841N
i am using LAN(wired) connection...well the packet loss appears on my phone too...i also tried using a Wi-Fi adapter...but primarily I use LAN.
These packet losses are too annoying while playing on-line multi player games...everything just freezes for 5 seconds every 2 minutes.
Please shed some light. I am super annoyed right now.
Also the loss occurs to all devices connected AT ONCE

THINGS I ALREADY TRIED
1) Reading 10+ threads about the same problem.
2)All kinds of ping tests (Pinging my Gateway and 8.8.8.8 etc etc)and tracert test...everything shows my problem clearly.
3)Using new LAN cable/WiFi Adapter.
4)Calling my ISP to have a check....He found nothing (zzz).
5)Replace clippings in both ends of every LAN wire(even main line).
6)Resetting router settings and setting it back.

Solution
The loss starts at hop2. Hop3 maybe a incorrect data point. If you were losing 49% of the packets then hop4 and farther would lose 49% also.

The 5-6% loss you see in hop2 continues all the way to the end which means it likely actually is real loss.

There is a small chance it is the wires in your house or the modem....you know that is what the ISP will claim. It is much more likely it is a issue with the cable between your house and the ISP office. You of course should inspect you cables to be sure they appear dry and tightly connected but there is little else you can do.

If the ISP is being jerks you then just offer to pay a service call. If it is their problem they don't charge you and even if it is your issue at least...

Well the firmware update page says that
'Please upgrade firmware from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it will be against the warranty'. Please click here to change site if necessary.
And the latest firmware says TL-WR841N(EU)_V13_171019 while I am from India. So was kind of skeptical about upgrading firmware.

The pingplot you provide does not indicate a issue with your router. It appears to be in your ISP network. It might be in the connection between your house and the ISP or farther in the network. You would need to run some more ping plot to say.

What you want to do is call your ISP and show them that HOP 1 is fine but you see errors in HOP2 and past. If you get a tech with half a brain they will understand that this shows that your computer/router/modem are likely not the source of the problem.

Thank god u agreed that all my equipments are perfect....And no he doesn't have half a brain :( he is saying that your router has the problem. How can i make him understand...zzz

That's par for course(brainless ISP techs.). Have you tried climbing up the management chain?

EVGA is the only company that I have been satisfied with as far as tech. support is concerned. Too many times the ISP is only a place where you pay to play, watch or surf, to name a few of the wonderful things we can do online. They don't have enough money to afford real techs.. But unfortunately money isn't always the issue. Ever call Microsoft's tech support? Sad, so very, very sad.

And I completely forgot my first thought er question. How are you connected? Packet loss seems to be more common with satellite providers.

Sorry about that. Most people connect to the internet with cable, fiber optic cable, satellite or DSL.

Well but they haven't exposed the modem to users....The only wires I have in my house are..
1)Coming out of the wall directly that goes into the Router.
2)LAN going from router to computer.

Well I can't do much about the one in the wall...The ISP can ofc.
And the LAN cable is all perfect..I also replaced it to check...
Thanks for helping....Will update asap if fixed.

Yay the losses are gone.....A technician came yesterday....And I made him understand that the problem is in the AOL servers and I think it went over him...But he said I will check the wirings tomorrow. And today he did and found some problem which was fixed....And I m relieved from the 1 week misery. Thank you guys...You guys were awesome.
