MB: 0PU052
Socket: LGA 775
Chipset: Q35
Ram: 8GB ddr2 4x2GB 800mhz
Psu: 300w Max (not original one that one I accidently blew lol)

What Cpu is the best (both extreme editions and Normal I would buy a used extreme edition)

And what gpu should I get (must be under the max MB supported wattage of 25 watt)
I am gonna buy the gpu new (I know a cpu can bottleneck a gpu thats why I asked the Cpu first)

I know I need to Buy a new system to play most games properly and gonna sell this one after I have the money to buy a new one but I'm gonna max this pc first

Thanks

Following this service manual, Q6700 is the highest CPU you can drop into the SFF but you're going to have to make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard.

Regarding the GPU, I'm not confident in suggesting a current gen GTX1030/GTX1050Ti 4GB since the latest GPU's will need a compatible UEFI BIOS environment otherwise you're going to see a black screen in spite of booting into desktop GUI.

Q9650 runs in those. Zotac GTX1050(Ti) don't need UEFI. Some others do. Cdoublejj at overclock.net says he's been running a GTX750 low profile in one for years.

The CPU info should apply, but these aren't all SFF so the video card question remains. It would be nice if you could borrow one to try. The 95W CPU limit keeps the Extremes out, and I even tried a 75W X6800 in another Dell and it wouldn't run either. The C2X only seem to run in the older Pentium4/D machines with 130W CPU support. It would be nice if the GTX1050 would run because it could move to your next machine. But the risk is going to be all yours. The chipset doesn't support LGA771 Xeon swaps.
Some Optiplexes can OC with SetFSB software some can't. Q9650 with a GTX1050 is anice combo.
Hewre's athread I did on this a week ago.

Are you sure the Q9650 will work?
