I am building a system with Ryzen 5 1600 and a R9 380 and I am thinking of getting a 650 watt power supply there are a few options in my budget which are:
1) Cooler Master V650
2) Superflower Leadex II 650watt
3) Corsair TX650M

Which one of these three should i get ? If there are any other power supplies or similar price range that you would recommend please let me know Thank you !!

It is not too much :) The more makes it safer, my point is even with overclocking 1600 and your GPU, 550 is still more than enough, but you can opt for 650 if that makes you feel safe :) 1600 has tdp 65W, GPU is ~ 190W, assume 50% more due to overclocking, plus rest 50W, 450 W is absolute max, not to mention, usually you will only max out...
Out of those 3. I would get the Cooler Master. It is higher rated and is modular compared to the Corsair.

As for Superflower. I've never heard of them and I don't go with cheap non unproven branded products for PSUs. That is always a bad idea.

Stick with the well known brand names.

I'd get the Corsair TX650M. Cooler Master PSU is probably equally as good. Great PSUs all the way around. As a cheaper alternative you could get the Seasonic M12ii EVO 620W. It's at budget price but it's still an excellent PSU for any gaming system.

With a 650watt I was hoping that I can do some overclocking on my cpu and maybe upgrade the GPU to a newer GPU in about a year or two .So i don't need to get a new power supply later is 650watts really too much?

vapour... it was reviewed by some guy no one knows... Doesn't make it a well known branded product.

From experience. I'm still recommending you stick with well known branded products for PSU's. That is the heart of your system.

Now if you want to go googling around review... try this one. (one review under the one you cherry picked).

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/SuperFlower/SF-750F...

The first sentence "Super Flower's Leadex platform is very popular among PSU enthusiasts"

While that doesn't mean it is a bad PSU. I'd still be warry of using it. Enthusiasts tend you spend a lot of money on their systems (like myself) and we do a lot of research before purchasing said item.

And for that reason. I would not recommend it.

You told me no one knows jonnyguru and you are recommending psu? LMAO. I don't need to read the rest of your comments.

I'm a network\systems engineer and never heard of him in my life. It is also the first time I've ever seen this name brand for a PSU. Obviously it is not as well known as the tried and true products like Consair and Cooler Master.

So again, one nobody view on a PSU is not something I'd take to heart when ordering hardware for my devices.

I could go multiple sources and those well known brands have LARGE amounts of reviews compared this this vendor.

But each it's own. Have fun with that.

Superflower hands down best quality unit.
Superflower is an well known brand outside of North America. (They tend to make only 220v power supplies which are not compatible in the US).

Also JohnnyGuru is the single most well known power supply reviewer, and does extremely through testing.

Do you research before making such statement that superflower is not well-known. You never saw one doesn't prove your point, dude. Superflower and Seasonic are the best quality brands, period.

Same could be said about yourself. As the comment above states. It is not a well known\used product in NA. Hence my statement still stands.

Thanks for playing.

If you also read the article I posted on the last page it states the exact same thing. So again. Take a well know world wide brand name over a brand name that is not world wide? Hmm hard choice....

No and you are correct. But that is not what I said.

I said what I would do. I would not pick one persons review, especially someone that is not even close to known as Linus from Tech Tips or any other the hundreds of others that preview these brands all the time.

I would review multiple sources before making a decision and I would limit the amount of search by sticking with well known branded products. Obviously here Consiar and Cooler Master are the well known name brands in NA which is where I'm posting from... so its not some crazyness to realize some others in NA may have never heard of that brand or support something that isn't well known in their area, and for that matter, globally.

But I agree, this is getting off topic. My original statement still stands.

To OP. Feel free to obviously review others statements. Only thing I can suggest you, is to also do your own research on the topic not just listen to one review or one suggestion on the topic.

Good choice, good luck with building :) If you want us to help you check other components as well, we are glad to help too. You may post here or start a new one :)
