2 hard drives with windows 10

You will have to forgive me, but I am fairly new to working the innards of computers... My brother gave me his old computer, (theres a link to the parts list below, that includes the old hdd) since it was still newer than mine. The only thing I wanted to save from my old computer was the 1TB hard drive. His 120GB ssd has windows on it and so does my HDD. Can I still use the old HDD without reformatting it? I dont have any external devices to backup data to reformat the drive...

Yes you can plug your old HDD in. The computer should still boot to the SSD and then you should see your old HDD in File Explorer as another drive letter.
You can event then delete the Windows install on there, plus any program files (essentially keeping only your documents/pics/videos etc.) to free up even more space.
Your old HDD will also have other partitions that you can delete safely but that might be getting ahead a little.
