Depends if OP wants something bigger or smaller too, I'd personally go for the 7000 for the better specs.

Also cause I never need an optical drive and hate the added bulk.

Also where are you seeing intel cpu with amd gpu? I've read AMD designed a chip fo small intel form factors but I don't it's not due to be out till next year IIRC. Either way I've used AMD and intel in both laptops and pcs and much prefer intel/nvidia for cpu and gpu.

Alright, so Autodesk, being itself, is gonna need a good GPU, but decent processor obviously too, because 3D things usually need a better graphics card.

But looking at them, they both have the same GPU power, both 4gb, both have 16gb of DDR4 RAM with the same speed, so there isnt really much of a difference.

The only difference I can actually see, is that the 15 5000 series has an optical drive, where the 15 7000 series doesn't, and the 5000 has a .6 inch bigger screen, so i'd say get the 5000, has an optical drive unlike the 7000, and has a .6 inch bigger screen! Holy crap! Thats giant! Thats like .1 inches times 6.. Woah..

(But yeah, just go for the 5000)
