How to know if my mobo is fully compatible with this ram?

Hello! I am looking to get some Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400MHz ram for my desktop but am unsure that my mobo will run it at full speed. My mobo model is Gigabyte H97-HD3. I have tried looking at my mobo specs but cannot find any of the info that I am looking for.

It will work but it will only run at DDR 3 1600 as a basic guarantee, enabling the XMP profile might take it up to higher frequencies but that part is a crap shoot. The memory QVL document for that board makes no mention of frequencies.

Okay, I see what you guys are talking about. I'm thinking that Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR3 1600MHz will run perfectly fine, seeing how it is 1600MHz?

Sure, there's very little gain in faster RAM on these platforms in any case.
