Do all the Q9650's have the same socket or do I need to look for a certain one?

I use the A5 BIOS which can be modded for xeons.
A6, and A7 both have digital signing so installing them is a one way trip. I'm avoiding them so I can get a modded BIOS for a Xeon swap.
I'm running the Q9505S which is R0 stepping any Q9650 should be OK.

I'm running it right now. With 8GB DDR3 1333 RAM. I needed to get back to you anyway. The Q9650 is OK. I was thinking of the QX9650 extreme CPU which didn't work. I'm running the Q9505S which is the latest R0 stepping so you should be OK with the any Q9650.
Mines the 3rd one on the chart here.

It had a slight SetFSB overclock to 2.88 Ghz. So just about equals the Q9550. It wouldn't go any more at 1.200V.
The A5 BIOS should be OK and leaves the door open for a Xeon swap later. X5460 is proven, X5470 ???
I want to play with it some more but I'm using it to answer questions here right now.
I paid $20 for the computer, and $20 for the CPU. The PSU was bad so I'm using an ancient Dell 305W PSU form an Optiplex 745. Cost $0

That's great. I have the 380 mb. I'll probably get the cpu next.
